Peter & Jill's Memorial/Aid Fund

My name is Brittni and I am a long time super friend of Jill's.  After learning of the passing of my dear friend's partner Peter, and seeing my friend struggle, I decided to take on the opportunity of starting this campaign. It is my wish that by doing this that even a small amount of pain is alleviated.  I invite all of you to do what you can and help a friend that has helped all of us in one way or another over the years.

"Peter loved music, played guitar, was my favorite DJ, an amazingly talented artist in all ways, loved to draw, loved his kids, loved his mom, his brothers, his family, his friends, my friends, and all friends.  He loved me and made sure I knew it; I hope all the others know how much he loved them too, because Peter's love feels amazing......He was open, honest, transparent with his thoughts and feelings (even the non main stream ones). He was kind. His smile and being made people happy and I keep hearing it from all our friends and family too how much they miss him and how great he truly is/was....." - Jill Johnson

Sadly on December 15th, 2014 Peter Menez was unepectedly taken from this world.  In lieu of a memorial or service of a sad nature, a fun and happy gathering is being coordinated to mark the occasion, just like Peter had wished.  On May 9, 2015 at 1pm, Peter's friends and family will be hosting a daytime "Celebration of Life & Love" in Peter's honor at Crissy Field Park, along the water under the Golden Gate Bridge .  The day will be filled with all of Peter's favorite things including food, drink, music and sharing.  Please RSVP at  https://www.facebook.com/events/407723866067107/ (a portion of these proceeds will be going toward service refreshments, libations, light snacks or guests are welcome to bring something to share)

As with any unexpected tragedy, there are many loose ends and expenses that need to be taken care of, including the memorial service, and personal financial affairs affecting his beloved partner in life as well as business, Jill.  Donations of any amount are being accepted through this campaign in order to give Peter the send off from life that he wanted and deserved, and also to relieve some of the financial stress from Jill.  One should be allowed the opportunity to heal and move onto the next chapter without such compounded worries.  Jill's goal is to relocate out of California  where she will be able to move forward with a fresh start.

We have the opportunity to lend a helping hand and do good for some very special people in our lives that have given so much to us.  Let's take a moment and give back to them at a time when they need it the most.
