Please Help Me Reboot My Life

This is the hardest letter that I have every written, but I implore you to read my story.
For nearly nine years, I have been dealing with several disabling disorders and have not capable of working. My physicians and I feel that I am now healthy enough to take a good shot at living a more productive life again.
My name is Peter Mandeau and I live in Boston. For over 30 years, I held jobs with a high level of trust, responsibility and respect. I was a junior, collegiate and professional tennis coach and was nationally-recognized in my field. I also held positions in the entertainment industry as an event producer, personal manager, talent agent and promoter for nearly a dozen award winning performers.
I believe that I have positively influenced the lives of hundreds of young men and women as they moved toward adulthood. Many have become leaders in their communities. Some are doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs and successful business people.
Nearly nine years ago, I became severely disabled and have had to live solely on SSDI (Disability) and Mass Health since that time. I have gone through all of my savings and retirement funds. I want to climb out of this hole, but at my age, the only person that will probably hire me is me.
In addition to the positions mentioned above, I have also worked as Chief Operating Officer and General Manager of the World TeamTennis Boston Lobsters Professional Tennis national franchise, as Associate Head Tennis Coach at Harvard University, Director of a 300 player junior excellence program and have produced literally hundreds of events for crowds as large as 15,000. I have also been an Associate Producer for four national ESPN2 television broadcasts.
For over a year, I have been in the planning and development phases for a new company. I have spent this time extensively studying the market, demand for our services, primary demographics to be targeted and created a marketing plan. I have spent almost all of the funds that were available to me preparing to launch the company and to create a world-class website.
All of this will give me a solid opportunity to regain some success in the fields in which I excelled (as much as my health allows). The company is a new entertainment destination for the gay male community of which I am a member. Whether you are LGBT or none of the above, I would appreciate your support.
I realize that it takes time to build a profitable company. In order to survive the initial challenges of staffing, marketing, content and more, I will need an influx of significant additional funds before May 30.
If I can raise the funds necessary to get through the early stages of a new company, I may be able to get off of Social Security Disability, provide employment for several other people and enable me to get a fresh start.
Any monies raised here will go towards marketing, staffing and general operating expenses. I do not plan to pocket more than a minimal monthly stipend until at least a year after we get started.
I have been generous with my heart, my home and my help over the past years, and now I am asking you to do the same for me.
It would give me a great deal of personal pride and build my self-confidence if I am able to grow this ambitious project into a full time endeavor. I would be so grateful for any amount that you are able to contribute to my efforts. Please share my story with your social media and friends.
I want to become a constructive member of society again. With your help, I will be able to take the necessary steps towards reaching my goals. Thank you for taking the time to read my page. I'll keep you updated.
Sincerely,
Peter Mandeau
