Peter's Culinary Adventures in Ireland

This fall, I'll be pursuing my passion for cooking by attending the Ballymaloe Cookery School in County Cork, Ireland. The prestigious 12-week certificate program begins on Sep 23 and covers a wide range of world cuisines and techniques (not just boiled cabbage and potatoes). The school is also located on a 100-acre organic farm, which means I'll have an up-close look at how farm-to-table happens!

I'm hoping to raise funds to cover some of the supplies I'll need as part of the course, including: 

-full set of professional chef's knives engraved with my initials
-2 chef's jackets
-2 pairs of chef's trousers
-2 aprons
-1 chef's hat
-1 pair of non-slip safety shoes
-1 pair of Wellington-style rubber boots (for work in the garden)
-name tags  for my uniforms, aprons, and hat
-bed linen, duvet, and towel rental during my stay
-health insurance while abroad
-computer with which to write my blog and communicate with you all!!!

As you can imagine, pursuing cooking school is a big leap for me both professionally and personally, and any support you can provide (no matter how small) will go along way towards making this a life-changing experience. Also, if you contribute, I promise to cook you something when I get back!
