It is with unescapable grief and sadness, that we are letting everyone know that Peter Wang did not survive the shooting at Marjory Stoneman High School in Parkland Florida.
Peter was a freshman at Stoneman Douglas, with aspirations of becoming a world renown culinary chef. As a long time resident of Coral Springs/Parkland, Peter was a happy and caring person, genuine traits that he picked up taking care of his two younger brothers. He always made it a habit to cheer people up when they were down, and went out of his way to help people.
A simple google search would define a hero as someone who shows great courage. On February 14th, when the gunman was opening fire on countless of victims, Peter took it upon himself to make sure his fellow students were safe at the cost of his own life. JROTC taught him leadership and responsibilty, skills that he upheld even to the very end.
We are setting this Go Fund Me Page so everyone can be updated , provide a place for everyone to grieve, post their condolences, and hopefully donate to the Memorial Fund. Originally proceeds was going to help with misc expenses, but the family has decided that they want to donate the money to Stoneman Douglas for their ROTC program. They want to insure that future generation of kids are taught the same values that the program has instilled in Peter.
We hope with the Chinese New Years approaching that it will provide new hope and future resolutions for the Wang Family. Peter is survived by his mom, dad, and two younger brothers.
My name is Chino Leong and I am a close friend of the Wang and Chen (maiden) Families. All money collected will be wire transferred directly to the Wang family, who will then write a check to the ROTC program. I have been getting emails about verifying if this real, so feel free to send me a message via my companys page https://slicesconcession.com/pages/contact-us and I will respond to it to verify my identity. It is a reputable business that has been in existance for last 8 years.
