Kia ora whānau and friends,

It’s with a heavy heart that I share this message.

Many of you will know that our beloved Peter Foote has been courageously fighting cancer for over 2 years. Recently, he made the incredibly brave decision to stop treatment. While we were originally given six months, we are now entering the final weeks, as the cancer has sadly spread and he has taken a rapid decline.

As a whānau, we are doing our best to navigate this difficult journey, to prepare but to also cherish every moment we have left with him.

This fundraiser has been created to support Aunty Beverley in spending this precious time by Peter’s side - the love of her life. Your kind contributions will help ease the cost of living while she takes time off to be with him, and allow her to focus solely on being present with him in these final weeks.

We hope to repatriate when the time does come, but for now, we’re simply reaching out for any support-big or small-to help lift some of the burden from Beverley’s shoulders as it has been a long journey and has taken its toll emotionally, mentally, physically, and financially.
