Hello all! As a small community I’m pretty sure each and every one of us has had the huge fortune of meeting one of the happiest, most honest and sincere people we have ever had the pleasure to meet.
He was a blessing to have in our village and we are looking for a way to remember him. For children to stop in 100 years time and ask to themselves “who was Peter Sherlock”.
As an individual who overcame great difficulties, to then bring joy to so many people, needs to be remembered. Please consider donating what you can to remember a valued and greatly missed member of this village.
Our intention if for a memorial bench or tree to be confirmed after a meeting with our council. Both differ in price, but due to space where would we like to see a memorial, and permissions, it could be either.
I have put £1000 as a mark to allow for the bench, fitting, etc plus a little extra to go to Aspens, a wonderful organisation that have assisted him for 50 wonderful years. If it is a tree only that we are allowed, obviously more shall go to aspens. Again this can only be decided after the meeting.
I thank you all and hope you can give anything that you can. Aspens is truly deserving.
Finally - I, as are many, are so grateful he was loved, understood and cared for. RIP my friend - “gorgeous”- and yes, I know I need Botox.
