Peter Penhallow Needs Our Help

Lifelong San Anselmo resident Peter Penhallow has just been evicted from the apartment in which he’s lived since 1993.

That’s on top of suffering a debilitating stroke in 2020 and losing much of his ability to earn a living.

Have you ever attended San Anselmo’s annual Salute to the Beatles, the concert-party-picnic-lovefest that brings our town together every summer? Peter started that awesome community event and was the band’s director, heart, and soul for its first 12 years.

Have you ever seen a musical at the Playhouse or in Creek Park? Peter directed the musicians and singers for countless great productions throughout the 1980s, 90s, and beyond. Maybe you or your child took part …

Peter has given so much to our community. In fact, he received San Anselmo’s Quality of Life Silver Award in 2011 for his many contributions to our town and continues to perform for local isolated audiences through Bread & Roses.

We need Peter right here in San Anselmo where he belongs and he needs our support to stay.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 by the end of this year. These funds will be used to secure a place to call home and the care that Peter needs.
