Well, this sucks to write, but as most of you know, we lost Peter on Tuesday. I'm remembering all the dumb stuff he did over the years, and he decides to die in a Walgreens. . .
Anyone who knew Pete knew how big his heart was. It didn't matter what was going on with him. He just wanted the best for everyone around him. It's hard to put a life like Pete's into words, but the dude definitely knew how to live! Fast and hard (and usually on one wheel) was his style, and nobody was ever going to stop him from enjoying every day. We're going to miss you you fucking gypsy!!
Now for the tough part. I'm sure everyone knows Arianna, but for anyone that doesn't, she is Pete's little sister. Pete was the last full blood relative she had down here, and now she is tasked with figuring out how to pay for a proper send off for her brother. Anything that anyone can give to her will go directly to paying for Peter's viewing, memorial/celebration of life, and anything else that comes about. She's in the middle of her show prep, and the last thing on her mind needs to be figuring out how to pay for this stuff.
For now, the plan is this:
- The viewing is going to be family only. The costs start getting too high with anyone else.
- After the viewing, they plan to cremate Pete's remains. Part of the plan is to eventually spread some of his ashes at the gravesite of his parents.
- At some point in the next month, the goal is to have a service and memorial for everyone that wants to go. It will be somewhere in Jupiter; most likely the civic center at Carlin or something like that. We'll make sure to keep everyone posted as that comes together as we'll need to give Petey a proper sendoff.
