Hi, my name is Dan Ring, and I'm fundraising to help pay for the costs of tests, medicine, and a liver biopsy recently done on my doggo, Peter. About a month ago his appetite decreased substantially. After bringing him to the vet and having preliminary bloodwork done, my wife and I got the bad news that the blood test showed he's in the initial stages of liver failure.

Fast forward to today, and after more series of bloodwork, an x-ray, ultrasound, medicine, and a liver biopsy, we're still waiting to hear exactly what's causing his poor liver to be in such rough shape. Thankfully, the vet hasn't seen any evidence of cancer on either the x-ray, ultrasound, or inspection of the liver during the biopsy. Possible causes could still include cancer, general liver disease, or a copper storage toxicity that can affect terriers. We think Peter is a Tibetan Terrier, but since he's a rescue we don't know for sure.

Needless to say, this has all been extremely expensive. If you have the ability to help defray some of the costs, we'd be so incredibly grateful! I'll be sure to post any updates here as we learn more. The results of the biopsy should be ready by April 9th or 10th.
