He is stable and been on an amazing recovery since then - every day working to breathe stronger, walk farther with a walker, and focus on healing.
His Dr's told us the the amazing scenarios – if he hadn’t called mom – he wouldn’t have made it - if he had arrived at the ER 5 mins later – he wouldn’t have made it – if the tear had been through 1 more layer – he wouldn’t have made it - if they didn’t have the gazillions of blood – he wouldn’t have made it. So he was the amazing miracle patient in the ICU.
He is downgraded from ICU in the Cardiac care unit and now we are preparing for him to be released and go home to Sherlock (his faithful dog) and Joey (the cat).
Thank you for all the loaned hospital care items and we also have volunteers lining up to be with him at his home through March 6th. If you can help with your time, making heart healthy meals, or a financial donation - Peter and all his family will very much appreciate you!
