I thank all of Peter's friends for getting us this far.
Peter G. Pereira, one of the most talented and prolific American artists I know died today November 10th 2021 around 3pm in his home in Delray Beach. His memorial will be held mid December so please email me to get the info. I don't want to forget anyone. It should rock.
In conjuction with Dick Blick Art supplies we will be forming scholarships in Peter's name for art supplies. Our first one will be St. Paul's Episcopal chuch in Delray beach who took Peter to his final resting place. It will be called;
Peter G. Peteira Scholarship for Young Artists.
We will also be forming another Scholarship in his name in New York City at an underserved art High School which I will formally announce soon. There are two other art schools in Manhattan that will be joining us.

I bet each and everyone of you have come across his work in cartoons, drawings and oils. In fact you have probably come across his work and didn't even know it.
Over the last two years Peter was very unwell, he even had me fooled. Dispite being vaccinated twice his underlying respitatory condition was fragile. It has been an extrodinarily difficult journey. He was intubated twice in that time and revived. Over 7 years he spent a total of 3 months in the ICU He died peacefully in his home and on his own terms.

He always told me about his after life experiences and he was comfortable with the journey. He knew where he was going. I know he has arrived.

It is raining today in Florida in the home he loved so much. Tomorrow a rainbow will appear. Peter smiles.
Below is a picture of one of Peter's last paintings. He painted it from our front porch. If you look up you can see him in a purple bubble space ship. The slowest spaceship EVER. So if you want to chat with him he is still around.
