Peter Furhovde

My name is Charlene and I am writing this with the heaviest of hearts.

On the evening of November 1st, 2023, my beautiful stepfather, Peter Furhovde, took his last breath with myself and my mother by his side.

Peter has been through a very long and very exhausting cancer journey, all the while exhibiting strength and grace that is nothing short of remarkable. He never once complained, he never stopped fighting and he never let his heart become tainted with anger or bitterness.

Over the past few years, we have met some financial setbacks with all the unexpected expenses and missed days with work. Unfortunately along the way, my mother lost her job. This allowed her the opportunity to be right beside Peter always but it also brought financial fear and stress.

Myself, my mother (Cindy Furhovde), my sister (Carolyn Burns) and all of the people whose Peter’s light has touched, are rallying together. We are raising funds at this time to help us carry out Peter’s final wishes, as well as honor him properly at a celebration of life that will be held on Saturday, November 18th, 2023. Thank you for any and all support during this difficult time - it is beyond appreciated.

There are no words to capture the magic that our beloved Peter has bestowed upon this world, but many of us live our lives a better person because of it.
