Peter Ferber Medical and Recovery Expenses Fund

Hello Everyone,

 

My dear friend Peter Ferber had back surgery in August and has had multiple life-threatening complications. He developed a pulmonary embolism, an abscess, and became septic in November after numerous trips to see his surgeon about the infected incision site. He was put in a medically induced coma for 4 weeks. It was touch and go for quite a while, but he fought hard and is slowly recovering. He spent a total of 6 weeks in the hospital and was then transferred to a rehabilitation facility to continue IV antibiotics and to work on gaining strength back so he could learn to walk again on his own. 

 

He was finally able to go home at the beginning of February. However, he is still having to get IV antibiotics and is still needing to do physical therapy to continue to gain his strength back, and relearn how to walk again.

 

Most importantly, he was able to see what matters most to him......his 2 boys! They are the motivation that kept him going this whole time. He was unable to see them while he was hospitalized or in the rehabilitation facility. Not being able to see his boys was the hardest part of this journey. 

 

Peter has been unable to work since he had his original surgery back in August of last year and still does not know when he will be strong enough to return to work. He is the sole provider for him and his boys, so there is a tremendous amount of stress with trying to pay for everything. He has a lot of medical bills and is still needing IV antibiotic infusions at home and in-home physical therapy. 

 

Any donation would be appreciated and is needed. If you do not have the means to donate, then I ask for your prayers to help guide and heal him as he goes through this exceedingly difficult period in his life.
