My Dad – Peter Durrant passed away on Wednesday 3rd December 2025 at 12:52am, after a long battle with Myeloma, Multiple Myeloma and most recently, Alzheimer's, amongst many other underlying conditions.

A much loved Husband, Father, Grandfather and colleague in Portsmouth Dockyard for almost 50 years, Dad was first diagnosed with Myeloma in 2016, but fought hard and made an amazing recovery within a few years.

Unfortunately, when Covid hit in 2020, illness returned and quickly escalated to a very dire situation, causing the onset of (Multiple) Myeloma and later, Alzheimer’s.

Peter Durrant’s Funeral is to be held at Portchester Crematorium – South Chapel, Friday 2nd January, 2026.

Dad requested that he only receive flowers from immediate family. Instead, he wished for those that would’ve sent flowers, that money be donated to Cancer Research UK and The Alzheimer’s Society.

Any amount you can provide will be greatly appreciated by the family. But more importantly, be welcomed by the two chosen Charities in their fight against two of the most awful conditions inflicted on humankind.

We shall run this Go Fund Me until 16th January, 2026, at which point we will distribute the total equally between Cancer Research UK and The Alzheimer’s Society.
