As you all are aware by now out wonderful friend Pete lost his long battle with Huntington's disease and passed away peacefully on Sunday evening with his loving and courageous wife Deb at his side.
Peter was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Loving and devoted husband of Deb and a soul that had a positive effect on all those who came in contact with him. A true friend.
This past 12 months has been a difficult time for everyone with Pet's condition obviously getting worse and not being able to get across to see him and Deb because of lock downs and border restrictions. While phone calls and a bit of Facetime has helped it is just not the same.
A couple of us thought it would be a nice gesture to pass the hat around so to speak to help out with the funeral costs to help Deb out so it is something that she does not have to worry about at this very difficult time.
This is not a public fundraiser and is only being sent to friends. Deb has certainly not asked for charity but at the same time is truly appreciative of the help being offered.
Anything you can offer would be appreciated. Pete's funeral is being held in Perth next Wednesday so there is not much time available. Deb will be flying across for a memorial to be held over here not too long after the funeral so that friends will have an opportunity to celebrate Pete's life and tell a few stories which as you all know was one of his favorite pastimes.
