Peter and John with funeral expenses
Donation protected
Hi friends. I can't even believe I'm writing this as my heart is broken. If you knew Denise you knew that her son Peter was the light of her life and John was her love and being surrounded by the local Portland music was her light. She was our friend.
You could always count on Denise and John to be the first at the Laurelthirst with a table. She loved her local bands and called you guys her boys. Duckie Pig, GBB, Campfire Boys, Rainbow Electric, Lewie and the LCR to name a few. She LOVED you guys and was your biggest fan. She was your cheerleader although she would never admit to that.
She was a plant genius, an outdoors lover, an artist like her mom. She had warm hugs to greet you and the best laugh. But mostly, she was kind. She was honest. Sincere and true.
On Thursday we got a devastating call that she collapsed at work while on a Zoom call. She had a large brain aneurysm that popped which caused a massive heart attack. She was unresponsive and on ICU. John and Peter rushed to California to be by her side. She never regained consciousness as we had only hoped. She was a giver and a lover and of course an organ donor. She was working on California for a few weeks to be closer to her dad while her sister was away in Africa. She was a California baby and Portland was her home.
There are no words. She died way too soon and this is an unimaginable loss for all of us that loved her.
Let us all collectively help Peter and John lay her to rest and may the four winds blow her gently home.
