Peter Alderson Memorial Fund

Peter Alderson was a kind, loving husband, father and grandfather.   He was an avid reader, a movie enthusiast and  a Shakira super-fan.   He served in the Army during the Korean War.

After the war, he ended up as an accountant on Wall Street.  At one point, he quit his job, bought a camper and traveled with wife two children and the family cat across the country.    By the time he arrived in California, his old boss called and begged him to come return, so back to to New York they came.   They settled in Carmel, New York and lived there for many years.

He retired from Lehman Brothers and later moved to Long Island to be closer to family.  Although his pension was saved after the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, his health insurance was not.  Health issues later in life had caused many unplanned medical bills.

His passing due to complications from pneumonia has caused a financial strain on the family.   Funds are needed for final arrangement expenses.
