Honoring Peter Connor: Supporting Rose, Stewart, and James

On behalf of the friends and family of Peter Connor, we are reaching out to ask for your support during an incredibly difficult time.

Peter passed away unexpectedly doing what he loved most—sailing his Heron dinghy. A fixture of the Port Hacking Open Sailing Club, Peter’s passion for the water was matched only by his dedication to his family. His absence leaves a profound hole in our community and, most acutely, in the lives of his wife, Rose, and their two sons, Stewart and James.

The Challenges Ahead:

While the family navigates this sudden loss, Rose is facing an uphill battle on several fronts:

Caregiving & Distance: Rose provides essential care for their son, James, who has Down syndrome. Their other son, Stewart, currently lives in South Korea, leaving Rose without immediate local family support.

Double Grief: Rose is still mourning the recent loss of both of her parents. Her home is currently filled with their belongings, a task she hasn't had the emotional or physical capacity to tackle yet.

Home Repairs & Financial Pressure: The family home is in need of major repairs. Peter was still working full-time to fund these projects and was set to oversee the work himself. Without his income and guidance, Rose is left to manage these urgent repairs alone.

How You Can Help

Funeral and Memorial Costs to give Peter the send-off he deserves.
