My old friend and current bandmate Pete Devine and his doggy pal Hoglet were involved in a serious automobile accident Sunday night Oct. 30th in Richmond, CA. They were hit head-on by a large vehicle which was being pursued by Richmond police.
They both sustained injuries in the crash, though it certainly could have been much worse. Pete's little Nissan was totalled but it did a great job of protecting them from more severe injuries.

The goal here is to generate some emergency relief funds in the short term to cover:
1) The cost of Pete's expensive ambulance ride to the John Muir Trauma Center as well as the emergency room visit and CT scan and follow-up care.
2) Hoglet's trip to the veterniary e.r. and follow-up care.
3) Lost revenue due to Pete's inability to work for a little while as he heals.
4) Costs related to replacing Pete's vehicle.

All proceeds form this campaign will be given directly to Pete and his wife Sandie.

It remains to be seen how much of these costs will be covered by insurance. Surely there will be significant out-of-pocket costs. We may end up increasing the targeted fundraising amount of this campaign once we know what the true costs will be.

"Many hands make light work" is an old English proverb oft quoted by a wise friend of mine. If we put our hands together we can help out our friends in need. Every little bit helps and every dollar you can share will be put to good use.
