Please help Pete due to a debilitating injury

Donation protected
On July 24th, 2022, Peter Schlegel suffered a horrible fall while hiking near his home in Newtown, CT. As a result, he sustained a debilitating spinal cord injury.

Pete is a US Army combat veteran who enlisted after 9/11 and served a combat tour in Iraq and Fallujah. Returning home, he started a family and a career in Steamfitting with Local 638 in New York, becoming the 4th generation of his family as a member in that union.

Kind, generous, and so caring, if you know Pete, you love him. There will undoubtedly be a long, hard road to recovery, but Pete is upbeat and optimistic and will rise to the challenge.

My name is Kally; I'm a friend of Pete and Jackie. I'm honored to have gotten to know these down-to-earth, good people. So many of their friends and family have asked how they can help, so we are fundraising to try and make an impactful difference.
This money will help offset the cost of necessary accessibility improvements to their home, acquire transportation, and give his wife Jackie and his two children some security to weather this calamity.

Peter and Jackie thank you in advance for your prayers and generosity.
