Pete Weiss

Hi my name is Katrina and I’m fundraising for my lifelong friend, Peter J Weiss, who’s fallen on hard times and needs our help with housing and stability. Gentrification has chased Pete out of a few great neighborhoods, including downtown NYC, San Francisco, Oakland and Rockaway Beach. We all know the story of gentrification. Pete, as an artist and passionate connoisseur of high and lowbrow art, has lived it. Pete’s a great and loyal friend to many; has an encyclopedic brain; is a great writer, is hilarious, and right now he needs our help as he faces job loss and housing instability with the additional challenge of mental health (bipolar). So please contribute whatever you can! A few friends are trying to get Pete enrolled into some kind of benefits program as he currently has no health insurance. Right now he needs a to raise money for storage space, food, and a place to live; and just to get back on his feet after a job loss and losing his home. This is a true emergency and Pete is usually the last person to ask for help; but he’s finally allowing that he needs it. Thank you so much for helping him out in this precarious time.
