18:45pm update

Pete is now out of theatre and the surgery was a huge success. He is doing well in recovery, and should be coming home tomorrow or Sunday. I am now closing the fundraiser, as enough money has been raised to cover all vet costs, with approx £100 leftover (will work out exact amount Monday) - which will be donated to a local cat rescue as promised. I'm waiting for the invoice from my usual vet, and will share this with everything else for transparency.

I cannot put into words how grateful I am for all of the messages, support, donations, shares and love that has been sent my way regarding Pete. The animal community never ceases to amaze me in difficult times, and I am extremely humbled to know such beautiful people who have stepped in to help where they can. Lots of tears - mainly happy tears and tears of gratitude.

Pete will have a steady recovery now, lots of pen rest and will be remaining indoors for the foreseeable. Thank you all again xXx

Thank you all so, so so much for your generosity, shares and support. I appreciate it so much!

Pete is currently in surgery now (1/08/25) with the specialist surgeon, having two plates fitted to fix the break. He is such a brave boy. I have changed the donation goal to £860, which is what is outstanding to my usual vets. Thanks to such amazing support from you all and some very close friends (+ insurance), the surgery costs are now paid and the outstanding amount due to be paid to my vets is £860.

I am waiting for the invoices from both vet practices to be sent to me, which I will upload to here as soon as I get them through. Again, thank you all so much from the very bottom of my heart, Pete and I are incredibly blown away by the love and support from everyone xx

Hey everyone. Unfortunately on the morning of Thursday 31st July, Pete had his breakfast, popped outside as usual, and returned back 20 mins later with a visibly broken leg.

I rushed him to the vets, where an X-Ray was done which confirmed his leg is broken in 2 places, from what they suspect to be a Road Traffic Accident.

Pete is insured for £4000, however, the current bill stands at £860. He has needed to be referred to a specialist orthopedic surgeon in Leeds, who have given an estimate of £5000 for the procedure.

The insurance will cover £4000 of it, however I am asking for donations to please help cover the remaining £1800 which will be due on admission

Anything at all is hugely appreciated, even £1 will go a really long way. For anyone who knows me well, my animals are my entire life and I love them more than life itself. I am beside myself with worry and need what's best for my little Pete to make a full recovery

If I am lucky enough to reach the target, anything at all left over will be donated to a local cat charity
