Pete Dominguez’s Medical Expenses

Hi, my name is Mariah and I am creating this fundraiser to help with my grandfather Pete Dominguez’s medical expenses.

On September 18, 2023, our beloved Pedro, Pete, Pops, Pompo, Uncle Pete, Grandpa Pete, everyone’s handyman, the list can go on of his titles… collapsed from a brain aneurysm while he was at work, “his second home”- Los Alamos Medical Center (LAMC).

His LAMC Medical Family provided the best care for him until he rushed by ambulance to UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. When he arrived, he was immediately admitted to the Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where a drain was placed to monitor his Intracranial Pressures (ICP) and surgery was scheduled for the following morning, where they placed 6 coils to help stop the bleeding.

He currently remains on a breathing machine and is off sedation. He wakes up periodically and follows simple commands such as wiggling his toes, squeezing your hand, opening his eyes, and giving a thumbs up. The last week has been extremely critical due to the fact he is still high risk for a stroke or blood clots.

The funds raised from this campaign will go towards medical bills Pete will accrue during this time and any other necessary medical items he needs. The financial burden is something we do not want him to worry about while he is recovering. His road to recovery is going to be a long one. Any dollar amount you are willing donate will be greatly appreciated by our family.

Please continue to pray for Pete and his family during this time. It is much appreciated by us all. We will continue to use his Caring Bridge site as a way to communicate about Pete’s condition and how his road to recovery is progressing.
