PETE COLANTONI MEDICAL EXPENSE FUND

Donation protected

Recently, while working at the AMERICAN TOWMAN SHOWPLACE Trade Show in Las Vegas, Pete passed out because of a dangerously low heart rate and fell about 6 feet to a concrete floor while demonstrating a 60TON Peterbilt tow truck to a potential client. In falling he suffered several serious injuries including multiple fractured ribs and a blood clot in his lung caused by the fall.
After Pete was transported to Spring Valley Hospital in Las Vegas via ambulance they immediately put in a temporary pacemaker to help stabilize his heart rate. During the multitude of tests conducted on Pete they also determined that he had pneumonia. Compounding his condition Pete has a family history of a rare bleeding disorder called Osler Weber Rendu Syndrome and as such they had to carefully assess not only his condition but his treatment options as well. The medical staff was unfamiliar with the disorder and to their great credit they carefully assessed his condition in consultation with Yale University (Center of Excellence in the treatment of Osler Weber Rendu Syndrome) and opted to place a permanent pacemaker and prescribed twice daily shots of a blood thinning drug.
Pete was initially placed in ICU for 5 days and then moved to a step down unit at the hospital. Because of the severity of his injuries he was recently been transferred to an acute care rehabilitation hospital in Las Vegas where he is expected to remain for several days (weeks). Once home Pete is expected to have to undergo a cardiac rehab program before being cleared to return to work.
Within the past few months, Pete had begun a new job in which he was so excited about and doing very well! Everyone that knows Pete realize that he is doing his level best to get better and to put all of this behind him. The truth of the matter is he has a long road ahead of him and he could use your help.

He will greatly benefit from a Go Fund Me Account which will help him with the tens of thousands of dollars in medical bills already incurred and not covered by his insurance and to also assist him with basic living expenses while he is out of work and recuperating.

Pete is a very humble man. He has given to so many people and organizations throughout the years; maybe now we can return the kindness. No donation is too small and will be greatly appreciated.
