Pete Chaisson road to recovery

On July 8th, 2022, our beloved flight instructor, Peter Chaisson CFII, was involved in a plane crash at the Portland Jetport (Portland, ME) along with one of his students.

Pete sustained severe injuries during the accident, requiring emergency surgery and hospitalization. At the moment, the full extent and long term impact of his injuries are not yet known. However, a long and arduous recovery is expected, given the nature of his injuries.

During his distinguished, decades-long career, Pete has trained many military and commercial pilots, as well as a multitude of private pilots. He is a role model, a mentor, and a friend to each and every one of us. To some of us, he is family.

A group of us, his students, have organized this campaign to help lessen the burden of what lies ahead for our teacher. We shall remain steadfast in our support and respectfully ask that you join us in supporting him during his recovery.
