On Tuesday I got the kind of call all children dread-- the call that my mom had a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital. Due to the quick intervention of my younger brother, she had gotten to the hospital in time, but not without significant damage to her heart. She needs coronary angioplasty for the treatment of STEMI (ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction). Her health insurance had lapsed and so I am raising funds to supplement personal funds to cover the angioplasty procedure. We are doing everything to provide her with the care and support she needs and we are asking for help to keep being able to do so.
