The Roberts
Donation protected
My brother-in-law was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor that is 4-5 cm in size. The doctors have preliminarily identified it as a craniopharyngioma, which is a rare type of noncancerous (benign) brain tumor that begins near the pituitary gland, which secretes hormones that control many body functions. As a craniopharyngiomaslowly grows, it can affect the function of the pituitary gland and other nearby structures in the brain. Due to its location at the base of the hypothalamus it is very important this gets removed as soon as possible.
They have chosen the endoscopy route of removal and his consultation appointment is coming up at the beginning of August. John Hopkins is rated #2 in the country for this type of procedure and that is where he will be receiving treatment. Driving will take 9 hours one way and flying will be a large expense.
All donations will help support the Roberts family travel to and from his appointments. Any donations that exceed the travel expenses will be out toward medical expenses incurred.
James is a son, brother, uncle, husband, father of a 2 year old and a dedicated science teacher. Every dollar raised counts. Thank you so much for supporting the Roberts Family.
