Hi everyone! It is with a handful of painful emotions that I am writing this. I am needing your support. I am fundraising for a cause that is close to my heart. The girls in the picture, Jenny and Susy were in a car crash on Tuesday July 28th, 2020 in the state of Oregon. Jenny was visiting her sister before returning to Los Angeles in August. They both had plans to relocate to San Diego after Jenny secured yet another job in southern California. The auto crash was fatal for Suzy. Jenny is suffering multiple broken bones in her upper body and bruised lungs and is in intensive care.
She is alive and I thank god for that. I am devastated for her sister and their entire family and friends and for Jenny herself. The good news, if there is such a way of putting it, is that Susy's son, Terri, a 13 year old, was also in the car and he is well. I do not know how well he will be following seeing his mother gone right before his eyes.
Jenny knows no one in Oregon and her nephew , I am not sure under whose
public care he is in just yet. She has initiated to speak with some loved ones just yesterday and the first thing she said was "she is dead inside because of Susy".
With Jenny's parents and two under 18 years old daughters living in Peru, there is not much they can do from there. With covid-19, we are trying to figure out how to get to her and get her the most help. For any of you who have family internationally, you already know the cost of sending loved ones back home is costly. That is the family's wishes for our dear Susy.
Jenny raised two beautiful girls, Sandy and Keara. Jenny's all time motivation was to work hard to secure the best possible future for them. She has always been the ambitious type for seeking higher education and lining up jobs that will help her family as a single mom.
Jenny is a long-term friend of mine since high school. We were in martial arts school together and she never missed an event related to me, from birthdays, baby/bridal showers, etc). She was there for me when I had a brain surgery day in and day out. Her daughter is the one who called me worried about her mom. I am with sincerity asking for your help in supporting Jenny until she is on her feet again and can continue to reach her highest potential. Small things count! So let me start with a goFUNDme for my friend.
Genuinely,
Souraya Matar
