Some areas of Peru have been declared in State of Emergency due to powerful floods currently occurring across the entire country since March 16th. Many people have lost their lives and thousands have been forced to evacuate due intense rains which to date have damaged 600,000 homes and destroyed more than 100 bridges. To date, this is Peru’s worst floods in history.

Over the past couple of weeks, the rainfalls have burst river banks, created dangerous mudslides (“huacos”), collapsed bridges and buildings, closed roads and forced school closures in areas of the western and northern part of the country. Affecting many rural and urban areas.

Peru is a country in development and they need our help now. The most concerning problem for those affect is the lack of available items for survival which includes food, clothing, potable water and medication for the poorest areas. Major cities including Lima, Trujillo and Piura are among those that have been totally flooded and destroyed by mudslides. Many people have lost everything and do not have anywhere else to return to.

At ‘Unidos Por El Peru’ (United for Peru), our goal is to provide help to the underprivileged communities in Peru by raising funds to help victims overcome natural disasters caused by a meteorological phenomenon called ‘El Niño’. Climate change is real and this is happening in Peru and this may move forward to another country in the future.  We are a nonprofit organization founded in the United States based out of the New Jersey and New York area. We are fully supported and registered with the Peruvian Consulate in New Jersey. Raised funds donations will be sent directly to trusted non-governmental organizations that are working directly with the community and local volunteers in Peru whom are located in the affected areas. We ensure that organizations use our funds to provide water, food, clothing and other basic need supplies in order to provide humanitarian aid.

2017: El Niño, Natural Disaster Peru

Diferentes áreas de Perú han sido declaradas en estado de emergencia después  de las devastadoras inundaciones que han arrasado el país entero desde el pasado 16 de Marzo. Muchas personas han fallecido y miles han sido forzadas a evacuación debido a las intensas lluvias que han afectado a más de 600,000 hogares y destruido más de 100 puentes en una de las peores catástrofes metereológicas de la historia del Perú.

Durante los últimos tres días, el aguacero ha estallado a orillas de los ríos, creando peligrosos deslizamientos de tierra conocidos como 'Huaicos', derrumbando puentes, edificios, cierre de numerosas carreteras y ha forzado la suspensiones escolares en toda la franja del oeste y norte del país, tanto zonas urbanas como rurales.

Perú es un país en vías de desarrollo y necesitan de nuestra ayuda ahora. El problema más importante que está sucediendo en estos momentos es la escasez de agua potable y víveres básicos como comida, ropa y medicamentos para las áreas más desfavorecidas. Muchas grandes ciudades como Lima, Trujillo, Piura, entre otras han sido completamente inundadas y destruidas por las avalanchas de lodo, todas estas poblaciones lo han perdido absolutamente  todo.

Desde 'Unidos Por El Perú', queremos dar apoyo a la población peruana ayudando a recolectar fondos para ayudar a superar este desastre natural causado por un fenónemo metereológico llamado "El Niño". El cambio climático es real, esta sucediendo, hoy es Perú, mañana puede suceder en cualquier parte del mundo.

Somos una organización oficial em Estados Unidos, que opera en New Jersey y New York patrocinados por el Consulado del Perú en New Jersey. Usaremos todas las donaciones para enviarlas directamente a organizaciones de confianza que están trabajando con voluntarios en las áreas afectadas y se utilizarán para proporcionar agua, comida, ropa y diferentes suministros  necesarios para abastecer a los equipos de ayuda humanitaria.
