Covid-19 PPE for UNTH & allied centres

The Problem:
The University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) is a leading teaching hospital in Nigeria and has been a major player in the ongoing battle against Covid-19.

In a recent conversation between University of Nigeria alumni and the Management of UNTH regarding the institution's Covid-19 response, it emerged that inadequate provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE for the frontline staff was a pressing problem.

The University of  Nigeria Alumni in the Diaspora are therefore calling for donations towards the purchase of PPE for the hospital and its allied centres.

The government has been providing the teaching hospital with PPE, but the spike in cases/testing and the high level of demand-fuelled usage has meant that there is an urgent need to supplement the government's efforts.

Our Solution:
We have researched and procured details of some internationally reputable suppliers and manufacturers of PPE in Nigeria who are willing to offer great bulk-purchase discounts.

Our aim is to raise ten thousand British pounds to be able to buy supplies and donate to the UNTH and allied centres as soon as possible.

Your Help:
This is a call on all alumni of the University of Nigeria, friends, stakeholders and members of the wider community to join and support this effort to procure and donate Personal Protective Equipment (hospital-grade face masks, visors, surgical gowns, hand-gloves, goggles, etc) in order to help provide a safer working environment for those at the frontline at the hospital.

Your assistance and support will be most appreciated.
