Personal Protective Equipment for docs in NYC

Dear family and friends,
My name is Inga and I am a pediatric resident physician at a hospital in the Bronx in New York City, writing to you with an urgent request.
About half of all COVID-19 cases in the United States are in NY state alone. This issue is getting bigger and we are seeing more and more patients daily. I am reaching out to you directly from the front line, where we are currently caring for countless of patients with COVID-19, in the ER and hospitalized patients.
Even though admin is doing their best to provide us with enough and adequate personal protective equipment (PPE), we have a critical shortage of PPE. In particular N95 masks, face shields, and protective gowns (we might be lacking more as COVID-19 continues). We currently are using one mask for an entire 12 hour shift- and due to shortage of new supplies- are asked to re-use the same mask ever 4 days (rotating 4 masks per person). Unfortunately, this is NOT how the mask was designed to be use, but it is better than nothing for now!
The anxiety amongst the residents is high! We fear not only to contract the virus personally, but also to bring it home to our wives, husbands and children. Unfortunately, we hear more and more cases of severe disease in young health care workers.
Several members of the residents at my hospital have already contracted COVID-19 and we need to protect not only ourselves, but also our little patients!
The money that we raise will be used to purchase necessary PPE over the coming months as we fight this uphill battle. Any small amount (even $5) will be greatly appreciated!
100% of proceeds (except GoFundMe fees) will be used to obtain PPE for us as front line providers.
Depending on how much money will be donated, PPE will be purchases for pediatric residents. If there is even more money is coming in, all other residents in our hospital fighting at the front lines!!!
Anything we do not use will be donated to other COVID relief funds (I anticipate once it calms down in NYC, other major cities will be affected and in desperate need as well).
