My name is Martha Nugent. I was born and raised in Texas, but I moved to eastern Montana in January 2020. Since arriving, I realized a tremendous need for the elderly population in our rural community. That is why my husband and I have established a personal home care business, THY NEIGHBOR, LLC.
Our goal is to assist anyone and everyone in need, regardless of their ability to pay. With that being said, we are exploring several avenues of fundraising, which brought us to GoFundMe.
Thy Neighbor, LLC is a caregiving business established to provide personalized home care for senior citizens in Eastern Montana. We have decided to begin our business venture in Richland County, Montana.
Thy Neighbor, LLC is a family business that is owned by Richard Garcia and managed by his wife, Martha Nugent. Martha Nugent is a licensed nurse practitioner who has been working in the healthcare industry in various capacities for over fifteen years, specializing in geriatric medicine and dementia care. Martha has a Master’s Degree in Nursing, and she is truly passionate when it comes to taking care of the aging population and people with one form of disability or the other.
Thy Neighbor, LLC will provide the following services to their clients:
- Companion care for those with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease
- Respite care to provider existing caregivers some relief
- Assistance in daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, walking
- Meal-prepping, grocery shopping, other errands
- “Check-in” calls for those who live alone
- Interactive care, light exercise, walking
- Housekeeping services
- Handyman-type tasks (i.e. light bulb changes, loose door handle, minor repairs)
Our competitive advantage is flexibility!
We chose the windmill as our logo because just as the windmill changes direction with the wind, we plan to adjust our work based on our clients’ needs. The needs of senior citizens change over time, and we are committed to remaining fluid.
