Personal Help — Plesse

Donation protected
First, please, I beg your forgiveness for my even having to write this message and particularly to request money from my friends, acquaintances  and from people who I do not even know.  If there were any other choice, believe me, I would have pursued it with haste.  We have always been proud and self sufficient people but sometime life has a peculiar way of bringing us to our knees, that has happened.

Our needs all began when our mortgage lender demanded a huge principal reduction when our home loan matured, demanding an amount that we did not have and could not raise.  Even though we had never missed a mortgage payment in over 12 years of the loan,  the bank foreclosed on our home.   About  10 days ago, without notice, at 9:00 am, the local Sheriff banged on our door and evicted us from our home where our family had spent the last 15 years of our lives.  The Sheriff's deputies gave us 10 minutes to  gather our pets and very few personal items and we were ordered out of the house, with deputies immediately behind our every step.  We watched as all of our furniture, clothing and possessions accumulated over 38 years of marriage were hauled out of our house and onto our driveway.  I pulled together all of the money that we had and hired a moving company to pickup and pack our possessions and place them in storage.  Now we are without most of our clothing and personal effects until we can move into a rental house, there was simply not time to gather these things with such short notice.

At age 69, my wife a few years younger,  and a daughter about to start her senior year of high school we found ourselves homeless.  Thankfully my daughter and her husband have allowed us to stay with them temporarily.    This is an unimaginable occurrence, incomprehensible in every way.  My personal situation is further complicated by my having advanced cardiovascular disease with 12 stents, bypass surgery and all of the rest.  My physicians insisted, and I did retire at age 54 in February 2004 due to my advancing cardiovascular issues.

My wife and I are going back to work but the immediate emergency is renting a house, paying the needed deposits and covering the associated cost of moving plus being able to simply eat and exist until our immediate financial crisis can be solved. We did have some dear friends help us with part of the rental cost today but we have almost nothing for even existing until we can resolve our current money crisis and build even a small cushion.

To compound our problem our primary vehicle developed a significant mechanical problem about two days after the eviction resulting in a bill of almost $1800.  When it rains it indeed does poor.

Never in my life would I have ever imagined having to beg, but here I am.  No words can describe this horrible situation.  It is an emotional time, a terribly embarrassing time, to say the least.  Your help would be too kind to even measure!  Thank you for even considering a donation to this account.
