Hello to all and thank you once again for your kindness, generosity and support. We wanted to update you all on Gracie’s progress. In late August we finally got her scans of the brain and spinal cord back and they weren’t exactly what we were hoping for. We interviewed a bunch of doctors and decided to head to Houston where there are more hospitals and docs that specialize in brain and spinal tumors. She was accepted into a personalized trial that uses peptides and a cocktail of four drugs. They’ve been using this technique for years and have seen some very good outcomes. There are no other trials at this time to chose from. Only radiation. So once again we have had to temporarily relocate. Again, without Zack or the dogs. It’s been very tough on the heart strings. We will be here for at least a month probably two. We need to wait until we have the next set of scans. This trial is not a free one but I am happy it offers her an option that hopefully will not have long term side effects.

So we are asking once again to support us in our fight to get Grace healthy again. Please share this with anyone you can think of. The trial costs 17k a month and the drugs will cost another 9-10k a month. Her length on this treatment will be determined after we see the first set of scans. We are anticipating (god willing) she’ll be on this protocol for at least six months. Until we can come home, we are staying at Hilton’s and Marriotts here in Houston.

She is still extremely positive and strong. We are fighting to keep her in this light until she’s better. We all know she is in God’s hands and only he will know or control our destinies. We will always fight like hell to get her better. She’s our sweet amazing Grace. Whatever it takes, we will do it.
