Perry's Gas and Service is a family-owned and operated automotive garage since 1954. We offer a wide range of mechanical services, state inspections, full-service fuel pumping, and a small convenience store. The business is not affiliated with any large corporations. We are an independent, family business.

During the recent flooding that began on July 10th, Perry's received 7-8 feet of water inside the shop and store. Over the last 65+ years, Perry's has withstood multiple floods but this was the worst so far.

The water did not recede quickly causing extensive damage to the interior of the building, the gas pumps and the underground gas tanks. Overall, there was a total loss. All operating equipment and inventory were lost.

One of the underground gas tanks took on water, which requires it to be pumped and safely removed. The list of items to be replaced is long: gas, gas pumps, tire machines, tire balancers, tools, coolers, inventory, etc. We do not have flood insurance because it only covers the equipment needed for the building itself, none of the items listed above would be covered. The cost analysis for the annual premium versus coverage isn't worth it.

We are committed to reopening the business but we need your help. Any financial assistance is greatly appreciated. This fund will help with replacing machinery and operating equipment to start bringing in revenue and rebuilding the business.

We are lowering the target amount because we were able to purchase used tire equipment from a local business.
