Perry’s flood fund

Greetings relatives 

My name is Perry Haider, and I am trying to raise some finances for myself, to help me get back on my feet. I have been living in the northern rivers for over a year, and have been severely impacted by the floods in Northern NSW Australia. My home in East Wardell was flooded on the 1st of March and I was unable to get back into the house for five days, as the water had not subsided. When I could finally get there, everything was damp and beginning to grow mould. I have lost almost all my possessions, and the house that I called home, on the lands of the Nyangbul peoples. The picture above was taken a couple of hours before we were evacuated by boat, and at the time of evacuation the water was inches from coming in the house. 

I am still in a clean up and salvage phase, and I’m yet to know where I will next call home. 

Any funds you can donate will greatly assist me in finding a rental home and replacing all that was lost, like kitchenware, furniture, bedding and towels, and clothing.  I am hoping to be able to get a car also, as my car was submerged for several days and will most likely be written off.

It is difficult for me to ask for money and any support you are able to offer will be most appreciated
