Perry-Mansfield Perf. Arts Camp

As an aspiring actor, I was recommended for a scholarship to Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School and camp by one of my teachers at the prestigious KCRep and I have been selected to participate in a theatre camp in Steamboat Springs, Colorado , June 16 – July 29, 2018. This is a nationally renowned multidisciplinary program,  that will provide the opportunity to study with some of the nation’s finest theatre professionals and teachers. Although Perry-Mansfield Performing Arts School has provided me a partial scholarship to attend, I am still in need of funds. On top of the rest of the tuition, I will need additional funds for flight and transportation there and back and for snacks and souvenirs.  Those of you that know me, are totally aware of my gift and talents but most importantly my passion for theatre and writing. I am a member of the KC Rep Summer Youth Theatre Ensemble, Coterie Theatre Young Playwrights Roundtable,  Sumner Academy of Arts and Science Forensic Team (State Qualifier), and Sumner Academy of Arts and Science Theatre Department, where I played the roles of Joey in "Sister Act" and The Tinman in "The Wiz".  As a young  African-American male in Kansas City, there are few affordable opportunities to pursue the arts, so that's why my I am asking my community for their assistance. As we all know, "The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members" Coretta Scott King. So KC I can't do this without you.
