Permilla needs a major hand up

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Erik, and I want to help Permilla keep her house, pay off other bills, and get back on her feet until she is able to work again.
Permilla has been part of our family for 30+ years, and my late-grandfather's wife for the last 10 years.

Since being laid off in 2022, Permilla has been unable to find a new stable job due to both my grandfather’s health issues and her own.
She has had a few jobs, but nothing that paid nearly enough to keep them afloat.
My grandfather entered the hospital in March 2023; he was in-and-out of the hospital and physical rehab facilities until his passing on September 1.
During what would turn out to be my grandpa's final few months, Permilla had her own medical issues.
She had seizures on multiple occasions.
In mid-August, Permilla had at least 4 seizures at home, including at least 1 grand mal seizure.
During her seizures, she hit her desk, causing a skull fracture and a torn rotator cuff.
While in the hospital, she was placed in a medically-induced coma for 3 days.
She is back home, but the seizures are having lasting effects.
Her doctor has ordered her not to drive for at least 6 months, which makes it even more difficult for her to find work.
Less than 1 week after she was released from the hospital, my grandpa was placed into hospice and brought home on August 30.
On September 1, he suffered a major medical episode and passed away.

Because of his age, Multiple Sclerosis, and other health issues, he did not have much in the way of life insurance.
What he did have from General Motors just barely covered the funeral expenses.
His hospital stays resulted in them receiving huge bills, which wiped out their bank accounts and her entire retirement fund.
The bank has now accelerated her mortgage, and she is at serious risk of facing foreclosure.
She needs to make at least 2 months worth of payments before September 30, and even that doesn't guarantee they won't start the foreclosure process.
To truly prevent foreclosure she needs to pay off the house in full ASAP.

She also needs to be able to pay other bills (car loan, utilities, medical bills, etc.).
With no money coming in, there’s no money to send out.
Permilla has always been independent and taken a lot of pride in supporting herself and her husband.
She has always been willing to help others in their time of need.
But she has reached a breaking point and truly needs a hand up.

Please donate what you can, if you feel inclined to do so.
Please share with others who may want to help Permilla.
