Dear Family/Friends:

My sister Perla will be embarking on a challenging journey against breast cancer.  This will entail a year-long process, beginning with an 18-week chemotherapy phase, followed by surgery, probable radiation, and various therapies that may induce temporary discomfort but are crucial for her path to recovery and, God willing, a cancer-free future by the end.

In the spirit of prayerful optimism, I'm reaching out, hoping to rally support for my sister, her husband, and their two little girls as they navigate through this challenging period. Perla’s fight is my fight and your generosity would mean the world to me

How will your contribution help?

The funds will mainly contribute to covering the expenses of the necessary and costly medication and treatment she requires. Secondly, a portion of the funds will be directed towards ensuring that Perla's family can access warm and fresh  easy-prep meals, as well as providing assistance in maintaining their home sanitary and safe as she rests.

Some people have asked: "Is it possible for me to prepare and deliver food to Perla?" or "Can I just come over and help with house cleaning?" While the intention to deliver food or clean her place is very kind, please keep in mind that chemotherapy weakens the immune system, making Perla more susceptible to infections. Bringing homemade food or having people in close contact poses the risk of unintentionally transmitting germs (especially during the colder winter months, when colds and the flu are common). My goal is to minimize any risks of unwanted infections for Perla which could worsen her condition. Thank you for your understanding.
