Quality Tutoring For Every Child

Adults who do well in math in childhood have been found to lead happier lives. Despite this, only 28% of students in the School District of Philadelphia are proficient in their grade-level math. That number is even lower in Chester-Upland School District, at only 7%!

Perisco is working to change this. We offer students in grades 4-7 free, online, math tutoring, using qualified high school students as tutors. Peer tutoring has been proven to boost grades, increase exposure to different perspectives, and, most importantly, help students develop a love for math. Tutors are given community service hours and our best tutors receive a scholarship for college. By being completely virtual, we eliminate the hassle of transportation for both students and tutors!
