Period Poverty Action Projects by MTM

MTM Awards launched Period Poverty Action Projects by MTM in June 2021, to create awareness, support & provude sanitary pads to deprived communities in Lamu Kenya.

This initative was launched after our founder heard a story of a lady that went into menstrual distrees afeter one parent passed on, simplt beause of lack of education on a regular menstrual cycle.

Since then with the help of donors and businesses we have managed top send consigments not only of sanitary pads but girls inner wear and in the last two consigments of July 2022 and January 2023 we have included beddings and clothing and expanded our reach to the outskirts of Nairobi, Kikuyu area, and Mombasa.
