Twenty five years ago Michael, Terri, and I, Deborah opened a little theater school in the village of Port Jefferson. With our professional theater backgrounds, it became our dream to give students young and old the opportunity to express themselves thru acting, movement and music, in a safe, stress free environment. PAS (a name given to us by our students) has become a second home to many of them. It is a place where they can learn the skills to continue their theater pursuits or simply to feel more comfortable in their own skin. Today, twenty five years later, we still love what we do and we have watched our students grow up with the confidence to pursue their dreams.
The pandemic hit! Our doors have been closed since March 2020 and it has been a tremendous struggle. We are working hard to reopen in September 2021. We have used our resources and PPP loan, paying rent/utilities for the last 17 months and are trying to raise $10,000 to help us cover rent, insurance and utilities. It is our greatest hope to continue to give our theater family a place to spread their wings.
Unfortunately, we have had to close our 11 Traders Cove entrance, but our beautiful black box theater at 224 East Main Street is ready to welcome you back and any help from you to help us continue our work in the community would be most greatly appreciated!
