Hi!

Wir, Aennie und Finja, planen im Rahmen des "Performance Journalism" unser erstes Projekt zum Thema "Mallorca-Mehr als nur ein Urlaub im 5-Sterne-Hotel oder ein Partywochenende am "Ballermann"!".

Wir möchten durch "Performance Journalism" Menschen eine Stimme geben, denen ansonsten in unserer Gesellschaft eher wenig Gehör geschenkt wird, sowie mit Menschen aus verschiedenen Kulturen ins Gespräch kommen. Auch wenn die Nachrichten im öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunk, etc. täglich aus der ganzen Welt berichten, interessiert uns, was die Menschen wirklich zu sagen haben. Wir verstehen uns hierbei als Sprachrohr für Fragen wie: “Was möchten die Menschen der Welt mitteilen? Was haben sie erlebt und was beschäftigt sie heute, was wünschen sie sich für die Zukunft?” Und damit die Sprache keine Barriere ist, sondern vielmehr eine Bereicherung darstellt, haben wir als Medium die Performance-Kunst gewählt.

-Erklärung Performance-Kunst-

Bei der Performance-Kunst treten Akteur*innen mit dem Publikum in eine gemeinsame Aktion. Teil der Aktion können verschiedene Kunstformen sein (Theater, Tanz, digitale Medien etc.). Außerdem kann eine Performance von Anfang bis Ende durchgeplant sein, als auch spontan improvisiert. Themen von Performances sind oft gesellschaftskritisch und machen auf unterdrückte Themen aufmerksam.

Kommen wir nun zu unserem ersten konkreten Projekt im Rahmen des „Performance-Journalism“:

Mallorca – eine Insel, die viel mehr ist, als nur der Urlaub in einem 5-Sterne Hotel oder das Party-Wochenende am “Ballermann”.

Wir werden uns, im Rahmen dieses Performanceprojektes, einen Monat lang auf die Reise machen, um mit Menschen auf Mallorca ins Gespräch zu kommen. Gesprächsthemen sind z.B.: “Mit wem verbringt ihr eure Zeit hier auf Mallorca? Wie erwartet ihr, wie man euch wahrnimmt? Kennst Du eine mallorquinische Tradition? Was ist Deine Lieblings-Tradition? Was bedeutet Kultur für Dich? Wo kommst du her und warum hast du Mallorca als Urlaubsort gewählt? Was denkst du über den deutschen Tourismus auf Mallorca?”. Zielgruppen sind dafür Tourist*innen aber auch Bewohner*innen Mallorcas - uns ist wichtig, die Vielfältigkeit zu verdeutlichen und beide Perspektiven zu beleuchten und mehr zu erfahren. Anknüpfend an diese Gespräche bieten wir ein- bis zweimal die Woche an festen Terminen und Orten Performances an. Dies können Improvisationstheater-Settings sein oder Gesprächsrunden. Auch das zelebrieren einer bestimmten mallorquinischen Tradition - basierend auf gewonnener Inspiration aus vorher geführten Gesprächen- ist möglich.

Wir möchten also mehr über die Menschen auf Mallorca erfahren, aber auch gleichzeitig eine Kommunikation zwischen Einwohner*innen und Urlauber*innen ermöglichen, um Gedanken, Einstellungen etc. der jeweils anderen „Personengruppe“ besser zu verstehen.

Um dieses Projekt bestmöglich auf die Beine zu stellen sind wir auf eine finanzielle Unterstützung angewiesen. Deine Spende hilft uns unter Anderem dabei, Materialien für die Interviews, sowie Performances zu kaufen, sowie Flug- und Unterkunftskosten abzudecken. Außerdem ist es für unser Projekt wichtig, mit so vielen Menschen wie möglich in Kontakt zu kommen. Aus diesem Grund sind wir ebenfalls auf Spenden zur Deckung von Werbekosten etc. angewiesen, um eine Breite Masse an Menschen ansprechen zu können.

Wer sind wir überhaupt?

Um diese Frage zu beantworten, stellen wir uns im Folgenden einmal genauer vor:

Moin! Ich bin Aennie-Lynn studiere zur Zeit “Tanz und Theater im Sozialen” mit Schwerpunkt Theater an der Hochschule für Künste im Sozialen in Ottersberg im 6. Semester. Ursprünglich komme ich aus einem kleinen Dorf in der Nähe von Buxtehude und wohne nun seit 2,5 Jahren in Bremen. Wie bin ich hierher gekommen? Bereits als Kind habe ich Freude am Theaterspielen gefunden, war in jeder Theater-AG und zusätzlich in außerschulischen Kursen dabei. Zusätzlich war ich Teil verschiedener Tanzgruppen und Chöre und habe auch privat viel Musik gemacht. Wie man also merkt: durch und durch schon immer ein kreativer Mensch gewesen. Kunst jeglicher Art war schon immer mein Safe-space. Mein Abitur habe ich mit Schwerpunkt Sozialpädagogik absolviert und anschließend einen Bundesfreiwilligendienst in der Jugendfreizeitstätte Stade gemacht, wo sich nun der Kreis schließt, denn in dieser Zeit habe ich beschlossen, meine Leidenschaft mit dem sozialen zu verbinden. Mir ist es ein Anliegen, mit Kunst etwas zu bewegen und sei es nur ein kleiner Funken, den ich weitergeben kann.

Hi! Mein Name ist Finja und ich bin 25Jahre alt. 2019 habe ich meine Ausbildung zur staatl. anerkannten Erzieherin abgeschlossen. Danach arbeitete ich für ein Jahr in einem Schulprojekt in Ghana. Außerdem absolvierte ich anschließend ein zweimonatiges Praktikum an einer Schule in Gambia.

Seit 2021 studiere ich Tanz- und Theater im Sozialen an der Hochschule für Künste im Sozialen in Ottersberg.

Für das gesamte letzte Jahr hatte ich die Chance mein Studium in Palma de Mallorca fortzusetzen. Hier habe ich viel über die Kultur und das Leben auf der Insel kennenlernen dürfen. Unter anderem lernte ich den traditionellen Tanz „Ball de Bot“ und schloss mich zudem weiteren Gruppen an, um über die Vielfältigkeit der Kultur zu lernen.

Ich finde es interessant die kulturelle Vielfalt in verschiedensten künstlerischen Formen auszudrücken und beschäftige mich vor allem deshalb schon länger mit dem Bereich "Performance-Kunst".

We, Aennie and Finja, are planning our first project as part of "Performance Journalism" on the topic "Mallorca-More than just a vacation in a 5-star hotel or a party weekend at the "Ballermann"!".

Through "Performance Journalism", we want to give a voice to people who are otherwise rarely heard in our society and get into conversation with people from different cultures. Even though the news on public radio, etc. reports daily from all over the world, we are interested in what people really have to say. We see ourselves as a mouthpiece for questions such as: "What do people want to tell the world? What have they experienced and what is on their minds today, what do they want for the future?" And to ensure that language is not a barrier, but rather an enrichment, we have chosen Performance Art as our medium.

-What is Performance Art?-

In Performance Art, performers enter into a joint action with the audience. Various art forms (theater, dance, digital media, etc.) can be part of the action. In addition, a performance can be planned from start to finish as well as spontaneously improvised. Performance themes are often socially critical and draw attention to oppressed issues.

Now we get to our first concrete project in the context of "Performance Journalism":

Mallorca - an island that is much more than just a vacation in a 5-star hotel or a party weekend at the "Ballermann".

As part of this performance project, we will go on a month-long journey to talk to people on Mallorca. Topics of conversation are, for example: "Who do you spend your time with here on Mallorca? How do you expect to be perceived? Do you know a Mallorcan tradition? What is your favorite tradition? What does culture mean to you? Where are you from and why did you choose Mallorca as your vacation destination? What do you think about German tourism in Mallorca?". The target groups are tourists as well as residents of Mallorca - it is important to us to illustrate the diversity and to shed light on both perspectives and learn more. Following on from these discussions, we offer performances once or twice a week at fixed dates and locations. These can be improvisational theater settings or discussion groups. It is also possible to celebrate a particular Mallorcan tradition - based on inspiration gained from previous conversations.

So we want to learn more about the people of Mallorca, but also enable communication between residents and holidaymakers in order to better understand the thoughts, attitudes, etc. of the other "group of people".

In order to realize this project in the best way possible, we are dependent on your financial support. Your donation will help us, among other things, to buy materials for the interviews and performances, as well as to cover flight and accommodation costs. It is also important for our project to get in touch with as many people as possible. For this reason, we are also dependent on donations to cover advertising costs etc. in order to be able to reach a wide range of people.

Who are we anyway?

To answer this question, we would like to introduce ourselves:

My name is Aennie-Lynn and I am currently studying "Dance and Theater in Social Work" with a focus on theater at the Hochschule für Künste im Sozialen in Ottersberg in the 6th semester. I originally come from a small village near Buxtehude and have now been living in Bremen for 2.5 years. How did I get here? I already enjoyed acting as a child and was part of various theater groups and extracurricular courses. I was also part of various dance groups and choirs and made a lot of music privately. So as you can see, I've always been a creative person through and through. Art of all kinds has always been my safe space. I completed my high school diploma with a focus on social education and then did a volunteer service in the youth recreation center in Stade, Germany, where I have now come full circle, because during this time I decided to combine my passion with social work. It's important to me to make a difference with art, even if it's just a small spark that I can pass on.

Hi, my name is Finja and I am 25 years old. In 2019 I completed my training as an educator. I then worked for a year in a school project in Ghana. I also completed a two-month internship at a school in The Gambia.

Since 2021, I have been studying Dance and Theater in Social Work at the University of Applied Sciences for Arts in Social Work in Ottersberg.

For the whole of last year, I had the chance to continue my studies in Palma de Mallorca. Here I was able to learn a lot about the culture and life on the island. Among other things, I learned the traditional dance "Ball de Bot" and also joined other groups to learn about the diversity of the culture.

I find it interesting to express cultural diversity in various artistic forms, which is why I have been involved in the field of performance art for a long time.
