"Perfectly Sane" Short Film
Beschermde donatie
Hi! We are Olivia Salib and Leila Boisvert, the writers and co-directors of our upcoming short film, "Perfectly Sane." We are third year Directing majors at DePaul University, and have been looking to collaborate on a project since we met freshman year. We came together to write a dark and twisted story that resonates with both of our experiences of womanhood.
Our story follows Eve, a 28 year old bartender lacking confidence and self respect. When Eve finds out that a man she previously dated has been killing women across the midwest, something changes in her, unleashing a dark power from within. Hallucinations begin to torment Eve with the temptation of unleashing this darkness and coming into her power.
This story comes from a place of insecurity, rage, and hope. We want to free the almost primal-like desire to take control when control feels so out of reach. As women who are subjected to becoming the passive role of society’s need for “visual pleasure”, we long for the day when we can step into our power and unleash a darker, liberated version of ourselves.
We would love your support in reaching our fundraising goal of $2,500. These funds will go towards our production needs, including meals for the cast and crew, production design, transportation, location, and more. With your help, we can ensure that our set is a safe and comfortable environment for everyone involved. Any donation, no matter how big or small, is greatly appreciated.

We are so excited to get started on this project and are incredibly grateful for your support!
