Dear friends,
For the past several years I've been living with severe OCD, which has had a great impact on my daily functioning. i sought treatment with the best professionals in the Ny Tri-State area. As excellent as they are, and despite the progress I've made, they all concur that I need residential treatment. I have been accepted into the Roger's Memorial OCD program in Wisconsin, and although my insurance covers a majority of the costs, there is still a 5000 dollar deductible that I am responsible for. IF you can help by making a donation towards that cost, I would be very appreciate.
Despite my OCD, I try to live as active a life as possible. I work with individuals with psychiatric issues, and I find that my challenges due to the OCD help me to empathize even more with them. In addition, I teach many students Torah across the country, as well as I currently work with an inmate. Even on my toughest days, these activities bring me happiness. I understand that it may look from the outside that I am fine, but like most others with severe OCD, I struggle privately. Most days it is difficult to complete school and work requirements, and traveling, such as crossing the street, is a big challenge that most people don't realize I have. Any donation will help me acquire the skills I need to defeat this beast. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you.
