Hi, friends and family, I am making this donor page for my homestay brother in Sri Lanka, Perera. He is in need of two hip replacement surgeries which is very costly in Sri Lanka. Here is a message from him:
My name is Mr. Perera I started to have a little bit of pain in my leg in 2017 it started to get worse after an MRI in August of 2017 it was revealed that there is Avascular Necrosis (AVN) of both femoral heads in my hips. In October of 2017 I a received core decompression operation in my right side to help relieve some of the pain and save the movement and function of my femoral heads. This operation was unsuccessful and I’m still experiencing pain everyday. I am unable to walk, climb stairs, sleep without pain. The damage to the ball in my right hip has resulted in my right leg having loss of movement and becoming shorter. It is now July of 2018 doctors have said that in order to relieve this pain a hip replacement in both hips is necessary. First I will need a hip replacement on my left hip and after a 6 month recovery period, I will then need another hip replacement on my right hip. However, this will cost around 1.5 million Sri Lankan rupees (7,222 pounds). I have about half a million rupees in savings that will cover part of this, but I’m looking for your help to cover the rest. This is approximately 4,800 Pounds/ 6,350 USD. If you would like more information about my condition I’ve attached the letters from my doctor.
Thank you for your time and consideration in helping fund these surgeries.
Letter from my doctor of the MRI test results and diagnosis.

This is the picture from when I had the decompression surgery.
