Hello everyone!

My name is Ethan Harrison, an aspiring young filmmaker with a passion for directing. In the past I have directed multiple small scale, short films in the hopes of gaining knowledge and experience of this craft. Starting with a 15 minute Star Wars fan film I directed in Summer of 2020, and a 4 minute Visual Effects heavy short film in early 2022.

I am now getting ready to embark on my next filmmaking journey as I prepare to direct my latest short film: the story of a French soldier in WW2, who’s lost in the forest, on the border between France and Germany, after a Nazi invasion!

I was first inspired by this after visiting a beautiful location, not far from where I live, and was struck with the idea to tell this story.

I’ve recently completed the 9 page screenplay for the film, and I am really excited to bring this project to life.

The film will be shot in British Columbia, Canada. The film will be about 12 minutes long, and will be a character driven study that attempts to show the horrors and long lasting effects of war.

The film will also include a minimal soundtrack, composed and performed by me on my violin.

The project will be a low expense film. We will need WW2 accurate props and costumes, as well as important makeup effects to help tell the story.

In total, I am hoping to raise $3000 to fund the film. And this is where I call on you. Any donations made will be incredibly meaningful and every little bit helps.

For this project, there will be no perks, only the knowledge that you have helped in the creation of this film.

I am incredibly excited to make this movie, and to share with all of you. I am really pleased with the story I have written, and can’t wait for all of you to experience it.
