We rescued miss Perdita at four months old. She was covered in scars and had never slept in a bed before. We had no idea where she came from and had limited medical history. Over the last three years, she’s transformed into one of the sweetest, cuddliest, most lovable puppies I’ve ever met. She adores her older sister, Nova.
We had no idea, however, that she came to us with severe leg injuries. We believe, with her current medical state, she was either hit by a car or thrown from one.
Also within the last three years she has stopped putting weight on her back legs, runs less, is in constant pain, and cannot jump or walk normally. Our local vet hospital has given us a 6 month timeline to find $8,000 to pay to have one knee repaired. They told us we can’t wait longer than that.
This isn’t easy for us, but we are humbly asking for help. With sudden career changes, student debt, and inflation, we haven’t been able to save enough for her. She is only three years old. Please help, in whatever small or large way you can, so that we can give her the best quality of life imaginable. We’ve always done what we can to help others, and will continue to pay our gratitude forward forever.
