Percy’s Euthanasia and Vet Bills Valerie Needs Your Help

Donation protected
Thank you everyone that donated and who sent your prayers. Percy has crossed the rainbow bridge. He took a turn for the worse and after a long discussion with the vet we decided to let Percy go. He passed away peacefully in my arms. Unfortunately I still owed $1300 for his vet bills and for his euthanasia. It’s rough to have had to pay this and to also have lost him.

Hi. I’m Valerie and I’m the proud momma to the sweetest cats, Binx and Percy.
Some of you may have seen them in the video of them sitting on command that went around on Facebook and TikTok. They are the absolute sweetest boys and have huge personalities.
Monday, when I got home from work, I noticed that Percy didn’t eat his breakfast. If you’ve been around the 16-pound chonk, you know that is a major red flag. I went through a major ordeal of trying to find him, and after an emotional breakdown, I ended up finding him hiding in the very back corner of a cabinet. He started throwing up that afternoon and continued all that night and into Tuesday morning. Even more concerning, he was not going to the bathroom at all. After a sleepless night, I rushed him to the vet where they determined that he had a blockage in his bladder. I’m so glad I didn’t wait any longer; another day and he would not have made it.
The vet was able to put in a catheter and flush his bladder, and he is now being given fluids and antibiotics as he has an infection. Poor baby’s kidney, liver, and pancreas numbers are really high. He will continue to receive this treatment for 2-3 days and, Lord willing, be released in good health.
Unfortunately, all of this has come to a cost of around $1500. Thankfully, my sister Mel was able to help with the deposit, but there is going to be about another $1000 left to pay after that. I’m currently not in a place to be able to afford all of that as I have a lot of medical expenses myself, and later this month I’ll be having surgery to remove my thyroid as I’m having quite a few issues with it.
I am not someone who ever asks for help; I have a flaw of major stubbornness, I can admit that. I know times are rough for everyone, but if you are able to help my sweet baby Percy, I would be so grateful.

Blessings
