Percy the Pig needs Neutering

“Percy” (not his real name) has been a real pig. A local family brought him home when he was tiny and cute, but did not consider what would happen when they had 65 pounds of testosterone-fueled porcine on their hands. He was truly a boar. He was too affectionate and aggressive with their small children, and due to the financial impacts of the pandemic and the recent landfall of Hurricane Sally, neutering him was financially out of reach. No petting zoo or small farm would take in Percy un-neutered, so he was released into the wild. Yes. I know. Very sad, but Percy’s story takes a positive turn. Whilst visiting his previous home, (because pigs are smart) Percy met some neighbors who found out his story and were determined to help. They found a foster who is willing to take care of Percy, take him to be vetted and neutered, and find him a home. Please help us help Percy by contributing towards his vet bills and feeding expenses. Percy has been living in the wild for weeks and is underweight, and of course, needs his surgery so he’ll know how to behave like a gentlepig for a new family. Any money raised over and above the exact amount needed for Percy’s expenses until he finds a home will be donated to a local no-kill pet shelter.  (North Baldwin Animal Shelter) *please note that the person who is doing this fund raiser is NOT the person who adopted the pig and released it into the wild.  They found they pig in their front yard one Sunday morning, went to find his owner, heard his sad story, and decided to try to #savepercy
